In the midst of the confinement due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Göttingen theatre proposed this tour based on the 2009 novel Corpus delicti about a dictatorship based on health. In it, a series of stops were visited in the car itself, where encounters with actors took place.
Following in the footsteps of the previous projects 1984, based on Orwell’s work, and Alice, inspired by Carroll’s work, Antje Thoms created this tour based on the dystopia Corpus delicti: Ein Prozess by Juli Zeh in the underground car park of the Deutsches Theatre, in the midst of confinement due to the covid-19 pandemic. In order to avoid contact, visitors drove through the play in their own vehicle and stopped four times at the direction of a guide in a protective suit. At each station they met an actor, also in isolation, whom they listened to via the car radio. In this way, a double reflection on personal and collective responsibility is traced, both in terms of the content of the work and the audience’s relationship with it.
