Visita guiada a una sesión BDSM nº26 (Manuel Bonillo, 2020)

telepresence,theatricality,transpandemic stage

In a context of explaining various sexual practices with an emphasis on BDSM, participants are invited to show body parts on camera.

The piece begins with the participants’ cameras turned off while the “dominator” Master Axel begins a narration in which he distinguishes between normative and non-normative sexual practices, “vanilla” sex and possession sex. Participants are invited to show their private space on camera, then one of the performers begins to show parts of his body on camera and finally the audience is encouraged to show body parts on camera, avoiding erogenous or genital areas as well as the face. Thus, while the narration continues, a sort of digital orgy is configured in mosaic view.

Premiered on 10 April 2020 online through Zoom in #AbadíaConfinada at Teatro de La Abadía in Madrid.
